Ottoman Beds for Larger Beds
We do not usually recommend Ottoman-style beds (the kind that lift up to reveal storage underneath) for very large bed sizes. The lift-up mechanism can become heavy, awkward or unsuitable as the bed gets wider, so we focus on practical, flexible storage options that work better for oversized beds.
All our beds can be fitted with large drawers, and we can use taller legs up to 15cm / 6in (or 33cm / 13in on our wooden beds), so you get just the right amount of storage space underneath.
Made-to-Measure Bed Heights
If you want extra room under your bed, we can make it taller to fit boxes, baskets, or just to give you more space. If you tell us the total gap you need, we will build it to fit perfectly.
Drawers - Stylish and Practical
Any of our bases can be made with drawers - from small continental ones at the headend (great if you have bedside tables) to full-width drawers for storing bedding, clothes, or anything else.
Why Not Ottoman Beds?
Because we make beds up to 10 feet wide, we have found ottoman frames are unstable and tricky to lift. By focusing on drawers and custom heights, we offer storage that is easier to use, lasts longer, and fits your space better.
