Large & Extra Long Beds Explained

Standard UK bed sizes are single, double, king and super king, but many taller people find standard lengths too short and many couples simply want more room.

We also make larger sizes such as Eastern King, Emperor and Caesar beds, plus longer lengths for taller customers.

Extra Long Beds for Tall People

Standard UK mattresses can feel too short for taller sleepers.

If your feet hang over the edge of the bed, most taller customers immediately notice the difference on a longer mattress. Our standard lengths range from 200cm to 220cm, with much longer lengths available.

Eastern King beds offer extra width, Emperor beds give couples far more space than a standard king size, and Caesar beds are about as large as most UK bedrooms can comfortably take.

UK vs US Bed Sizes

Some customers need to replace imported US mattresses or beds, while others simply want more room than a standard UK king size offers. UK and US bed sizes can be confusing because the names often sound similar, even when the dimensions are different.

For example, a California King is usually longer, while an Eastern King is wider and closer to what most Americans would call a king size.
