Pillow Firmness Guide
Choosing the right pillow firmness is a very personal decision. It depends on how you sleep, your mattress, your build and the amount of support you like. As a rough guide, side sleepers often get on better with a firmer pillow, back sleepers may prefer a medium feel, and front sleepers often choose something softer.
We recommend visiting us to try our pillows in person. We make any of them to any size, with our standard sizes listed here.
Pillow Firmness Guide Chart
| Firmness | Usually suits | Pillow |
|---|---|---|
| Extra Firm | The most support, often chosen by side sleepers | Extra Firm Pillow |
| Medium Firm | Good support, but with a little more give | Fresh Feel Pillow |
| Medium | A good middle option, often chosen by back sleepers | Duck Feather & Down Pillow |
| Medium Soft | Softer, but still with some support | Anti Allergy Pillow |
| Soft | A softer feel, often chosen by front sleepers | Duck Down Pillow, Goose Down Pillow |
Which firmness should I choose?
If you sleep mainly on your side, a firmer pillow can help support the gap between your shoulder and head. If you sleep on your back, medium is often a good place to start. If you sleep on your front, a softer pillow may be more comfortable as it keeps your head lower.
